When I was a little girl, my mum used to call me Flossie Bonce and as I grew older, I realised it was a great name for a character in one of my books. The narrative came to me when I was hosting my son's 6th birthday party. We organised a game of pass the parcel, but I have quite a naughty sense of humour, so decided to tell the children it was pass the parsnip, a healthier version of the game. Luckily, I had given them prizes they would rather have, so all ended well. The two strands of this story collided, and Flossie Bonce the book was born.Q. Why should I give your books a try?A. I have been an illustrator for nearly a zillion years (or so it feels!) and I LOVE drawing wildlife.
