The first time Harris met Flora (though they shared friendly looks and teaching techniques, as they were only a room apart), he saw no indication that her past was fraught with tragedies and heartaches. And through Flora's debilitating sickness, Harris was there for her up to the last moment, sharing in her courage, suffering, and happiness.
