These are the handwritten notes of the finite element analysis course that was taught by Dr. Peter I. Kattan at Applied Science University in the period 2000-2002.
These notes are based on the book A First Course in the Finite Element Method by Daryl Logan. These note chapters have become very popuar with students and it is good to find them in one signle volume.
The author offers two versions of these notes: one free downloadable PDF version and one paid print edition.
The notes cover both one-dimensional elements and two-dimensional elements.
