Finer is a collection of poetry and the third book in the Not Fine series. This poetry covers a range of human experience from love to grief to redemption, often using metaphors of the natural world. This book is guaranteed to make you think and guaranteed to make you feel.
Kerry Love has an uncanny way of articulating the beauty, pain, terror, and hope of the human experience. Her work is nothing like love and light toxic positivity that ignores the darkness. She explores the entire spectrum of human emotions, especially the difficult ones. She sets up her themes and then hits you with her premise the same way a great fighter sets up a knockout blow. Her poetry is poignant and will leave you in deep contemplation. --hugojkd
Kerry captures what we all are thinking but cannot always put into words (especially not as poetically as her). And if it isn't something we've thought, her vulnerability to go there opens up the opportunity for us to as well. I love just opening up to a page in the morning and seeing how it resonates with the moment in time I am in. Today's was about growing, even when it feels like your heart can't handle it- so fitting and I felt so seen. --Kate W
From the very first page of innocence I couldn't stop reading. Thought provoking, funny, intense, insightful. This took me through such a range of emotion and brought back memories I had forgotten about along the way. For that I'll be forever grateful! --Amy G
