Feis Success 101: The Expert Guide to Hosting a Feis Without Losing Your Mind is the ultimate guide to planning, organizing, and hosting a successful Feis or Oireachtas in the Open Platform world of Irish Dance.

Since the 1980's, Open Platform Irish Dance has expanded from a few isolated schools to a worldwide phenomenon thanks to the popularity of such Irish Dance shows as Riverdance and Lord of the Dance. The standards of the dancing taught at these schools now rival those of the long established closed platform organizations, but the Open Platform world has been hampered by a lack of quality competitive options. So, it is up to us, as Open Platform teachers and adjudicators to run our own Feiseanna, whether independently or as part of an organization.

Hosting a successful Open Platform Feis requires patience, a sense of humor, practicality, reliable volunteers, friends, and a solid budget. The author of this book, Sharon Flynn Stidham, can help you make your experience as rich and rewarding as hers has been.
