Faunal Investigation of King Township, York County, Ontario provides a comprehensive scientific survey of the animal life found within this specific region of Ontario during the early 20th century. Authored by noted zoologists E.B.S. Logier and L.L. Snyder, this work serves as an essential record of the biodiversity and ecological landscape of York County. The investigation meticulously documents various species of mammals, birds, reptiles, and amphibians, offering detailed observations on their distribution, habitats, and local prevalence.
The text stands as a significant contribution to the natural history of Canada, reflecting the rigorous field methods employed by researchers associated with the Royal Ontario Museum of Zoology. By detailing the faunal composition of King Township, the authors provide valuable baseline data for understanding how wildlife populations and environmental conditions have shifted over time. This report is an indispensable resource for naturalists, ecologists, and historians interested in the regional biology of Southern Ontario and the development of zoological research in the province.
