Anon! we breathe a Parent's cherished name, We feel his love an ever-present flame, Our living Parent, though for long years dead, And pillowed 'neath the sod his lowly head. We see our children whom we've laid to rest, And press them fondly to our heaving breast. Still further back, through age, and age, we speed, --On living Promises, in joy, we feed; Faith leads the way--and back the ages roll, Whilst God speaks peace unto the earnest soul.
