Lola Garnett is a middle-aged wife, mom and secretary living a humdrum existence in Chagrin Falls, Ohio. One fateful day, Lola takes a well-needed nap while heartily wishing for a more meaningful life. Well, be careful what you wish for!
Lola drops into a dream state at the exact time her neighbor Melinda-who some would call a bad witch-is casting a revenge spell on her cheating man. The spell opens a portal into which Lola unwittingly slips, drawing her into a world of out-of-control psychic abilities and general shenanigans as she struggles to master her newfound skills.
Along the way Lola meets her oversoul, picks up a reluctant faery guide named Aethelwyne Eglantina-who Lola has infuriatingly dubbed Twink-and takes a madcap journey toward enlightenment.
When Lola senses that Melinda is hatching a plan to harm one of her new friends, a woman named Raven who owns the local metaphysical bookstore, she knows that she can't go to the police with nothing but a psychic hunch. It's up to Lola and Twink to test her new abilities and foil Melinda's fiendish plot.
