Eve's Diary & Adam's Testament is a luminous literary retelling of the world's first story-where creation is not punishment, but wonder. Inspired by Mark Twain's classic diaries and re-imagined in poetic modern prose, this illustrated edition transforms the myth of the beginning into a meditation on love, exile, and the holiness of everyday life.
Told in two alternating voices-Eve's curiosity and delight in the living world, and Adam's steady awe at order and change-the book traces their journey from the garden's first light through loss, labor, and enduring devotion.
Each section is paired with original artwork, turning the story into a visual hymn to beauty, nature, and the resilience of human connection.
For readers of lyrical fiction and mythic retellings such as The Song of Achilles, The Prophet, and Circe, Eve's Diary & Adam's Testament offers a timeless reflection on creation, consciousness, and the love that teaches the world to begin again.
