Readers will be fascinated by Bentele's stories of the setbacks and the successes he encountered over the course of his acclaimed career. The dawn of the jet age, developments at the end of World War II, the development of automotive and aircraft gas turbines, and the rotary engine era are just some of the historical events which are recounted in this book.
A pioneer in the development of the internal combustion engine, Dr. Max Bentele provides a first-hand account of some of the major engineering achievements of the twentieth century. Throughout Engine Revolutions, Bentele discusses his participation in groundbreaking developments such as the jet engine/gas turbine (1941) and the rotary Wankel engine (1958).
Both engineering students and the general reader will be fascinated by Bentele's stories.
