I write a weekly column that appears in four newspapers. I am a high school teacher with an unusual perspective on life. I look for the spiritual side of everyday experiences. I believe that God wants to reveal himself to us and in a small way I attempt to pull back that curtain. I make my own attempt at writing contemporary parables. My goal is to challenge the reader to a deeper walk with Christ. I look back at tragedies like the Oklahoma bombing and the David Koresh disaster and try to find spiritual lessons and understanding. I attempt to find the words that can bring healing after such tragedies. I reflect on pleasant things like the beach, animals, and nature. I am not afraid to let you see my personal struggles, hoping that I can encourage you in yours. I want to let you see how I work out my Christian faith. My heart's desire is that Encouraging Thoughts be truly encouraging. I hope you will share it with a friend and that every reader will be encouraged in their daily walk with Christ.
