When excitement turns into a fizzy, floating feeling, can Betty find her feet again?
Betty the Witch is usually very good at magic, but today she is struggling with the hardest spell of all: Patience.
She is waiting for a special parcel from her father, John, who lives far away in the Mountains of Mist. But as the clock ticks slowly on, Betty's tummy starts to feel like lemonade pop. Suddenly, the Fizzy-Wizzy Wait takes over, lifting Betty, her furniture, and even the mice right up to the ceiling!
Floating high above the floor, Betty feels lonely and worried. How will the delivery bird find her if she drifts away?
It is up to her wise mentor, Ebony the Cat, to help. Using a steady clapping rhythm, Ebony teaches Betty a magical new trick to slow down the fizz, lower her toes, and get her fuzzy striped socks back on the floorboards just in time for a special delivery.
Emotions and Potions Book 5: The Fizzy-Wizzy Wait is a heartwarming story about the physical sensations of anxiety and excitement. Perfect for parents, teachers, and counselors, this book offers a gentle, practical tool for children who struggle with waiting.
Inside this story, children will learn:
Body Awareness: How to recognize the fizzy physical signs of anxiety or over-excitement.
Grounding Techniques: A simple Slow-Down Clap method to regain control and calm down.
Coping with Separation: A reassuring message that love keeps us connected, even when we are apart.
Join Betty and Ebony for a magical lesson in finding your rhythm when the waiting gets tough!
