Eleven year-old Emmylou is sooo angry! First, Mom got sick, really sick, and Emmylou is afraid to even hope for her recovery. Then Dad brings the family to a remote cabin so Mom can rest up, but there's no TV, no WiFi, and no one to play with except her nerdy little brother, Levi. They make do, building a fairy house with an unexpected visitor named Grumps, who is only six inches tall! The children have discovered the Pixels - tiny people living in the woods and known to only a few humans. When the plans of a logging company threaten them, Emmylou and Levi must save the little folk without revealing their existence. Along the way, the wounded family begins to heal and Emmylou embraces hope, for if Pixels can exist anything is possible.
