Em Modo de Haiku - in Haiku Mode is inspired by Japanese haiku poetry. Its originality lies in that it is written in five languages (Portuguese, English, German, French and Spanish). Its focus is on natural beauty and the contemplative richness it brings to self-reflection.
Leonor Capella is the nom de plume of Isabel Castelão. Before she retired, Dr. Isabel was a primary care physician in Portugal at two Health Care Centers in Lisbon. For many years, she worked in her physician capacity at the Centers for Disease Control (DGS). She also taught Medical Psychology at the Universidade Nova and was a pro bono yoga instructor for people with medical problems. Dr. Isabel has always complemented her medical career with a multiplicity of cultural interests that she continues to pursue to this day- travel, literature, philosophy, movies, science, and science fiction. She writes poetry, children's short stories, and she loves journaling, mix media, patchwork and photography. She has been on dialysis since 2017. A few years ago, she became fascinated with haiku poetry for its simplicity and immediacy of expression. This book is the first publication of her haiku poetry.

Leonor Capella é o nome de guerra de Isabel Castelão. Antes de se ter reformado, a Dra. Isabel foi médica de cuidados primários e médica de famÃlia em dois Centros de Saúde em Lisboa. Durante muitos anos, a Dra. Isabel trabalhou na sua capacidade de médica na Direção Geral da Saúde (que corresponde ao Centers for Disease Control nos E. U. A.). Também deu aulas de Psicologia Médica na Universidade Nova de Lisboa, e foi instrutora de yoga para indivÃduos com problemas médicos (o que fez em regime de pro bono). A Dra. Isabel complementou sempre a sua carreira em Medicina com uma multiplicidade de interesses culturais que continuam até hoje - viagens, literatura de ficção, filosofia, cinema, ciência e ficção cientÃfica. Para além disso, escreve poesia e histórias para crianças, adora escrever diários, e trabalhar em patchwork, mixed media e fotografia. Desde 2017 que faz diálise. Há alguns anos atrás, descobriu a poesia haiku e ficou fascinada por este estilo de escrita por causa da sua simplicidade e da sua imediatez de expressão, a atenção dada pelos haikus à beleza natural, bem como a riqueza contemplativa que oferecem à autorreflexão. Este é o seu primeiro livro de poesia haiku.
