Eliyahu Leibowitz is a high school senior, young and vibrant. Coming from an old and distinguished Jewish family, Eli hopes to one day attend a yeshiva and become a Rabbi like his grandfather before him. However, Eli is haunted by the loss of his father and bullied unrelentlessly by his cousin, Jacob. Eli also has a huge, unrequited crush on his best friend, Chaim Weiss. Yet, Chaim comes from a very Orthodox family as opposed to Eli's Reform Jewish upbringing. Despite their differences, Eli and Chaim soon reveal to each other that they have a love that runs very deep. Through the thick and thin of it, Eli and Chaim stay together and try to keep their love a secret. However, when Jacob's bullying goes too far and Chaim's father discovers his son's relationship, will Eli be able to bring about his first miracle? Truth, love, and resilience abound this novel by author Tyler Rebik. Follow Eli as he goes on this journey with Chaim to bring about happiness and light to their relationship. Laugh at the humor, smile at the sweetness, and enjoy the ride that Eli takes you on in Eli's Secret.
