Elegiada de Luys Pereyra, faithfully copied from the edition of Manoel de Lyra in the year 1588, is a poetic work of enduring historical and literary value. Penned by Luiz Pereira Brandà o around 1588, this edition, published in 1784, offers a rare glimpse into the literary landscape of the Portuguese Renaissance. This edition was associated with the Duque de Palmella and Bento José de Sousa Farinha.
The poem stands as a testament to the epic tradition, reflecting the cultural and artistic sensibilities of its time. It provides valuable insights into the historical context and literary conventions of 16th-century Portugal, making it an essential resource for scholars and enthusiasts of Portuguese literature and European history.
