HUMANISING THE DIVINE - volume one

In this first book, Scott begins by placing Jesus at the centre of theology. He maintains that Jesus is presented in Scripture as both the image of God and the image of true humanity. God was 'humanised' through the Incarnation, and through the cross, a roadblock was placed on humanity's road to destruction. In the middle chapters, there are some fresh perspectives on Judas, Peter and Cornelius, suggesting that salvation is much more to do with a call to join a movement; a movement to work for the restoration of humanity, than a ticket to heaven.
