Everyone feels overstimulated sometimes. This heartwarming story follows Sofia as she encounters loud situations with blenders, automatic toilets, hand dryers and fireworks. She loves having fun, except for all that noise. Will she hide at home away forever or face her fears by using her coping strategies?

This book not only highlights noise sensitivity that many people have, but it also celebrates it! As a school counselor, I see the benefit of this book for my students and families, where we can support our sensitive kids. Sofia is able to embrace her tools and still do all the things that she enjoys. I am excited to share this book! -Lynsey Burge, Elementary School Counselor

In a world that can be overwhelming for children who have heightened senses, Except for All That Noise presents a capitvating story that allows young learners to connect with their own daily experiences or those of their peers, all within the pages of a picture book. The book not only provides relatable coping strategies for children to learn from, but also serves as a valuable resource for families in search of suggestions to help their loved ones navigate our noise-filled world. -Stephanie Wright, Early Learning MTSS Integration Specialist

Enlightening! This book provides a perspective of understanding how others perceive the world, building empathy in a world needing more understanding. Children who experience noise sensitivity will see themselves reflected in Sofia- a powerful experience! -Salina Fassler, Literacy and Language Program Specialist

...a sweet, thoughtful, kid-friendly story! The repetition and use of evocative language are spot on and will definitely resonate with kids. So many times, children's books can be clunky or weighted down with too much detail. You found the perfect balance of storytelling for young kids that will keep them engaged.
