Everything Matters isn't just a basketball book.
It's a blueprint for developing people.
From neighborhood playgrounds to Division I basketball, from professional basketball overseas to coaching the next generation, Steve La Mont Smith shares the lessons, failures, victories, and principles that shaped his journey.
More than a memoir, Everything Matters introduces the Coach Smith System-a complete philosophy built on leadership, discipline, character, preparation, accountability, and continuous growth.
Inside you'll discover:
- How confidence is built through repetition
- Why systems matter more than talent alone
- The principles behind championship cultures
- Leadership lessons for players, coaches, parents, and educators
- The Coach Smith Laws
- Modern basketball concepts explained in practical language
- The Everything Matters philosophy for developing complete people-not just complete players
Whether you're an athlete, coach, parent, teacher, leader, or simply someone committed to personal growth, this book will challenge you to think differently about success and legacy.
Because championships eventually fade.
Statistics are eventually forgotten.
But the people you develop become your greatest legacy.
Everything Matters is the foundational volume of the Coach Smith System and the starting point for a complete player, coach, parent, and leadership development framework.
If you believe greatness is built one decision, one habit, and one day at a time...
This book was written for you.
