In the author's third book Everything but a Novel: A Collection of Fiction, Stacy travels through the realms of short fiction, trying her hand at six-word stories, Twitterature, dribbles, drabbles, micro stories, micro fiction, sudden fiction, and poetry. The idea for Everything but a Novel: A Collection of Fiction originated following the completion of my second book of poetry. While I have long appreciated reading short stories, as an author, I find them particularly compelling due to the challenge of conveying complex worlds and emotions within a concise format. After weeks of researching various compositions, I was motivated to see if I could write a range of fiction guided by defined parameters. The book embraces themes of love and understanding, hope, the innocence of a simple childhood game, grief, family, ghosts, dying, and so much more.
