ABOUT THE BOOK Eulogy and Puffery (For She I praise and Exaggerate) is the author's first collection of poems. The book represents the poet's frantic effort in his early writing days. It features poems over a decade old and a few relatively recent ones-poems of love, nature, fantasy, etc. While not tied to a particular theme, this collection evidences the handsomeness of the muse that rules the birth of the poet's endless lines. ABOUT THE AUTHOR Ebi Robert is a poet, playwright, novelist, essayist, and researcher in diverse academic fields. He is a trained lawyer who found peace in making poetic lines. He discovered his love for the craft when he ended up as a finalist in the Bayelsa State Environmental Poetry and Essay Competition, held in 2007. He afterwards penned down some poems that were featured in e-zines and online poetry journals, such as Asian Signature, Poetic Diversity, Lunaris Review, etc. In 2014, Ebi Robert emerged as the winner of the locally contested E.K. Okorodas Poetry Competition. In 2019, he was conferred with the Award of Excellence by the Poets in Nigeria initiative for his contribution to the poetry renaissance in Nigeria. A year later (2020), he received a Certificate of Honour from Inked with Magic as one of the top twenty (20) selected Nigerian writers on the occasion of the Nigeria at 60 celebration. 2021 was a year of double accolades, as he emerged as 2nd Runner Up, Gabriel Okara Prize for poetry, and as a Finalist of the African Writers Award organised by the African Writers Development Trust (AWDT), Writers Space Africa Foundation, and Writers Space Africa-Tanzania (WSA-Tz). In 2023, he was nominated as one of the top 50 writers' kings by Aspiring Authors Magazine, USA (2023). Ebi Robert has contributed poetry to many anthologies in different parts of the world. His debut novel is The Creed of the Oracles.
