I wrote this book as a catharsis in 1976 when my fourth daughter died at the age of three and a half months. Since then it has been shared with family and friends and been a source of comfort and inspiration to many. I have often been asked and encouraged to share Esther's story to a wider audience. I hope that the story of Esther's life will bring hope and solace to the hearts of all those who've lost a child in their infancy, giving more purpose and sense to what to some may seem purposeless and senseless. This book is an important reflection on how faith and trusting in God can help in times of grief and uncertainty.
