Hebrews is an epistle by somebody who understood perfectly the Law of Moses, and the cultural history of the Jews which was based on this Law. The epistle is rich in ancient things and people: the Ark of the covenant and the altar; Abraham and Joshua as examples. Another devotional study by the author, this book is also full of cracker barrel philosophy and wisdom, as well as scientific knowledge. This blend of scholarship, common sense, creation, and science makes for fascinating reading. As a Bible literalist the author holds the Bible in great reverence and awe as God's preserved Word. The book has an index of important topics, as well as an index of scriptures used in the book. A complete table of contents lists the eighty-some essays. The essays take less than fifteen minutes to read, each one having its own title and scripture reference. The price of this book, like all of Kennedy's books, has the minimum royalty allowed.
