The Epic of Kings is an epic poem written by the Persian poet Firdausi in the 10th century. It tells the story of the mythical kings and heroes of ancient Persia, from the creation of the world to the Arab conquest of Iran. The poem is composed of 50,000 couplets and is divided into three parts: the mythical age of the kings, the heroic age of the kings, and the Islamic age. The first part of the poem focuses on the legendary kings of Persia, including Jamshid, Zahhak, and Feraydun. The second part tells the story of the heroic kings, including the famous hero Rostam and his son Sohrab. The third part describes the Islamic conquest of Persia and the reign of the Arab caliphs. The Epic of Kings is an important work of Persian literature and culture. It has been translated into many languages and has influenced literature and art throughout the world. The poem is known for its vivid descriptions of battles, love stories, and mythical creatures. It is also a testament to the rich history and culture of ancient Persia. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
