The English Works Of John Fisher, Bishop Of Rochester, Part 1 (1876) is a collection of writings by John Fisher, an English bishop who lived during the 15th and 16th centuries. The book includes various texts written by Fisher, including sermons, letters, and theological treatises. Fisher was known for his opposition to the Protestant Reformation and his defense of Catholic doctrine, and his works reflect his commitment to these beliefs. The book provides insight into the religious and political climate of England during Fisher's time, and offers a glimpse into the mind of one of the most important figures in the English Catholic Church. This edition of the book was published in 1876 and includes an introduction by the editor, as well as footnotes and other annotations to help readers understand the context and significance of Fisher's writings. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
