Every Empire Has an Agenda
A Study of Power, Peace, and the New World Order
By Ernesto B. Baluyot Jr. San Diego, California, United States
Throughout human civilization, power has never been passive. Every empire that rose to dominance - the Mongol, Spanish, British, Russian, and Qing - carried one unspoken truth: every empire has an agenda. These agendas were engines of self-preservation, economic extraction, and geopolitical dominance. The world we inherited today - its borders, its unresolved conflicts, its nuclear arsenals - is the direct residue of those imperial ambitions.
Now, in the 21st century, a controversial figure steps into this historical tradition. Donald J. Trump and his proposed Board of Peace raise a question the world is actively debating: Is this a genuine humanitarian imperative, a calculated American geopolitical strategy, or the ambition of one man who sees himself as civilization's ultimate dealmaker?
This book argues it may be all three - and that the answer matters less than the opportunity it presents. For the first time in recorded history, a sitting global superpower leader is publicly calling for peace as a governing doctrine. The moral case is clear: humanity's stockpile of weapons of mass destruction is not a deterrence shield - it is a slow fuse. Worldwide disarmament is not idealism. It is survival.
Yet no peace conversation is complete without confronting the Palestinian State question - the most visible unresolved wound in modern geopolitics. Peace without a concrete, justly bordered Palestinian State is not peace. It is a pause before the next eruption.
The book then asks the defining question of our era: What if the world fully aligned toward peace? What opens up for humanity when the energy poured into warfare is redirected toward medicine, climate science, artificial intelligence, and human dignity? This is not a call for Western ideological dominance. Eastern philosophy, collectivist governance, and pluralist frameworks are not obstacles - they are essential ingredients to any lasting global order.
Is it now or never? This book believes the answer is yes.
Every Empire Has an Agenda is Volume 1 of an ongoing series exploring peace architecture, geopolitical realignment, and the next chapter of human civilization.
The series does not promise easy answers. It promises honest ones.
