Making beauty and fashion videos for public consumption is my life. And when I say my life, I mean it. Literally.

I'm an influencer on the mega-popular BingBang app, and making content is my job. My only job. So, when my views and engagement start to diminish, I worry. A lot. How will I pay my mortgage? How will I survive?

To make matters worse, the man who uses my videos for his own popular content is earning more views and his engagement is top-tier...all at my expense. And when his satirical duo of my latest video sets me off, I do what any irrational and tequila-drunk person would do--I message him, directly.

Next-morning-me panics, knowing he could screenshot that message and call me out in front of everyone on the internet, but he doesn't do that. In fact, he promises not to. But he does post another video, toasting me with the drink I admitted I'd been drinking when I messaged him in the first place. A margarita.

And when that video goes mega-viral with hundreds of people making guesses of whom he's toasting, he approaches me with an idea: we should have a fake BingBang relationship. Viewers would eat it up, making both of us internet famous and padding our numbers, our wallets, and our futures.

I really hate the idea of lying, but then again, how can I refuse? I need to do something, or I could lose everything.
