Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Elizabeth Charlotte, Princess Palatine (German: Elisabeth Charlotte von der Pfalz b. Heidelberg, 27 May 1652 - Saint-Cloud, 8 December 1722) was a German princess and the wife of Philippe I, Duke of Orl ans, younger brother of Louis XIV of France. Her vast correspondence provides a detailed account of the personalities and activities at the court of her brother-in-law, Louis XIV. She and her husband, the Duke of Orl ans, were the founders of the modern House of Orl ans - their only surviving son, Philippe II, Duke of Orl ans, being the Regent of France during the minority of Louis XV of France.
