In Genesis 17:7, He said to Abraham, I will establish My covenant between Me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant. That covenant defined a people who would bear His name, endure His discipline, and carry His promise of restoration to the ends of the earth.
History has not been kind to them. Empires rose and fell; kings enslaved them; nations sought to erase their memory. Yet the covenant remained. The prophets foresaw both their scattering and their return.
