Covid19 has spread globally. When the Covid-19 pandemic occurs, schools must be closed or partially opened, which affects teaching and learning. Educational innovations to deal with epidemics such as Covid-19 and other urgent epidemics are very important. Therefore, the three cores of Education 4.0 knowledge applicable to pandemics such as COVID-19 are simple, self-learning and technology-integrated knowledge (SST knowledge).
Simple knowledge is the most important core of Education 4.0. Simple knowledge will make teaching and learning more effective and enjoyable. Simple knowledge can help self learning, Learn anytime, anywhere. Knowledge can be learned outside the classroom. Simple knowledge can also help make it easier to program knowledge into educational technology tools such as online calculators, This will encourage more development of educational technology tools such as online calculators, which will strengthen technology inclusive education and make Education 4.0 teaching and learning more effective and fun.
The purpose of Peter Chew's method for solution of triangle is the same as Albert Einstein's famous quote Everything should be made as simple as possible, but not simpler.
In addition, Albert Einstein's also quote:
i)If you can't explain it simply you don't understand it well enough,
ii)We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.
iii) When the solution is simple, God is answering
From the Albert Einstein's quote above, it can be seen that simplifying knowledge is very important.
The purpose of Peter Chew's method for solution of triangle[1] is to provide a simple method compare current methods to aid in mathematics teaching and learning, especially if similar COVID-19 problems arise in the future.Therefore, applying the Peter Chew's method for solution of triangle in some Engineering Problem can make teaching and learning of Engineering easier.
