Ecclesiasticus is a book from the Apocrypha, which is a collection of biblical texts not included in the Protestant and Jewish canons of the Old Testament. This particular edition of Ecclesiasticus was printed in 1611 as part of The Nonesuch Edition, a series of classic texts published by the Nonesuch Press in the early 20th century. The book of Ecclesiasticus, also known as Sirach, is a collection of wisdom sayings and teachings attributed to a Jewish scribe named Jesus ben Sirach. It covers a wide range of topics, including the nature of wisdom, the importance of obedience to God, the value of friendship and family, and the dangers of wealth and power. This edition of Ecclesiasticus features the original text from the 1611 King James Version of the Bible, which was the standard English translation at the time. The Nonesuch Edition also includes an introduction by the editor, a glossary of terms, and footnotes to help readers understand the historical and cultural context of the text. Overall, Ecclesiasticus: From The Apocrypha Printed In 1611 by The Nonesuch Edition is a valuable resource for anyone interested in biblical scholarship, religious history, or the wisdom traditions of the ancient Near East.THIS 54 PAGE ARTICLE WAS EXTRACTED FROM THE BOOK: Apocrypha, by The Nonesuch Edition .
