This antiquarian volume contains William Morris's 1907 collection of stories and poetry, Early Romances in Prose and Verse. These fantastic stories about wonder-filled adventures, often concerning a knight-errant with heroic qualities, are highly recommended for fans of chivalric romances, and are not to be missed by fans and collectors of Morris's seminal work. The chapters of this book include: The Deference of Quenevere, King Arthur's Tomb, Sir Galahad, A Christmas Mystery, The Chapel in Lyoness, Sir Peter Harpdon's End, Rapunzel, Concerning Geffray Teste Noire, A Good Knight in Prison, Old Love, The Gilliflower of Gold, etcetera. William Morris (1834 - 1896) was an English poet, novelist, socialist activist, and textile designer. Many vintage texts such as this are increasingly scarce and expensive, and it is with this in mind that we are republishing this volume now in an affordable, modern, high-quality edition. It comes complete with a specially commissioned new biography of the author.
