Along the way he meets some wild characters: people on some kind of an edge who are all searching for the same thing. A reason. Something other than the crap masquerading as a life that was on offer. Some solace amongst other weary souls. He becomes mesmerised by a log floating just beyond the breaking waves. And he starts to 'get' it. Or does he?
