One evening, after eating improperly prepared wild mushrooms, a man finds himself in an altered state of consciousness. Afraid and uncertain, he falls prey to fearful panic and despair. Just as it seems he is to lose his mind, his dog taps his lap. The man looks up from his gloom to see the worried, little face of his dog, who silently hints that he should pet her. The man strokes his dog, and profound comfort washes over him. As the moments pass, it's discovered, much to their astonishment, that he and his dog can speak to one another. His dog, Meeka, ascertains that her man is in for a long, strangely difficult night, so she offers to tell him stories of dogkind's greatest heroes and tragedies. Although dubious, the man is intrigued by Meeka's proposal, so he agrees to listen. What follows is a series of fantastical fables, wild tales, and a mythological saga of dogkind's greatest and most celebrated hero. Dog Myth reveals a vastly different version of the world we live upon, and how it is that we are all here and why we are the way we are.
