The elders of Grace Bible Church have certainly been faithful shepherds - feeding, leading, and protecting the sheep God has entrusted to their care; but in Devotionals: Is God Still Speaking? they have broadened their ministry and widened the warning lest any of God's people be led astray by someone claiming to have a word beyond that which is settled forever in the heavens. These pastors clearly demonstrate that not only is it folly to want some word from God beyond the Bible - it is also totally unnecessary. Nothing is more dangerous to God's people than deriving their notions about Christ from someone's imagination, however well-intentioned they may be. God has spoken clearly, distinctly, and sufficiently in the Word of God Incarnate and has revealed Him in the written Word of God. Thank you, dear friends, for teaching the error of any heart that would ever say, I know God speaks in His Word, but I want something more. God has given us His all in Christ and all we need for life and godliness in His sufficient Word!
