This Book is based on a study completed by Dr. Roberts to evaluate a three-year-old outreach program involving participants from Law Enforcement and the African Americans community. Law Enforcement was represented by the local police department and the community was represented by African Americans who attend a predominately African American Church of Christ in Tennessee.Dr. Roberts's research showed the strong leadership of the church helped to foster some of the participant's sense of security. Law Enforcement also felted the church leadership was there to help promote a sense of balance. The church has always been the cultural center of African American communities. In the Book, Dr. Roberts will introduce a training method to show how individuals can be from different races, have different cultural beliefs and value systems without using violence when they disagree and/or afraid. The outcome of the evaluation presented in the study identified factors that enhance trust from the perspective of Law enforcement and the African American community.
