Air Handling Units have remained fundamentally unchanged for decades. While controls, sensors, and system integration have advanced rapidly, the internal anatomy of the AHU has largely stayed static-rigid geometries designed for peak conditions, forced to operate inefficiently for most of their life.
This mismatch between fixed internal design and dynamic operating conditions is one of the hidden drivers of excessive pressure drop, poor air mixing, unnecessary fan energy consumption, and reduced overall system performance.
Dynamic Breathing Air Handling Units introduce a new paradigm.
By allowing internal surfaces and airflow paths to adapt their geometry in real time, these AHUs respond intelligently to changing loads, airflow rates, and mixing requirements. Instead of forcing air through fixed obstructions, the unit breathes-expanding, contracting, and reshaping itself to optimize airflow behavior, improve mixing efficiency, and reduce internal pressure losses by up to 60%.
