Every businessperson wants their business to succeed, and this is no different for Death.
The lack of World Wars, medical intervention and soap may have been great for humanity but they have caused significant issues for Death and his business. Humans just don't seem to die as they used to. Death longs for the days of plagues, famine, and wars. The turnover was great, the business was booming.
There seems to be no solution to Death's predicament until Death's colleagues suggest he re-creates the glory days. The options are to either ask Mother Nature to send a plague or create an evil dictator like the ones of the past who will terrorise and kill millions. The latter is chosen and the hunt for the evil dictator begins.
