I enjoyed re-reading Dracula Never Dies: The Revenge of Bela Vorlock, for reasons more than Christopher R. Gauthier's elegant, lyrical and passionate prose. Every time I read this tale of a Bela Lugosi-type protagonist, I am drawn to a location and scene I never had experiences with, but it always tugs at my heart; midnight at a battered post World War II theatre, a shabby stage, a proud thespian performing his art to a rowdy, unappreciative bunch.
