Del had not heard from his friend for far too long. After 3 calls went unanswered and no return call, he felt that it was time to go and investigate. Del packed an overnight bag, made sure the house was secured and left in a cloud of dust. He was still approximately one-quarter mile from the home of his friend when his vehicle began to cough, sputter and finally simply quit moving forward...much to his horror, Del had run out of gas.
