FIRST IN THE SERIES. The Dog Witch is the first in The Journeys of Terry Shannon, tales about aboy and his dog. In this novel, the dogs in Terry's hometown of Thaw, Massachusetts are disappearing in alarming numbers. As their owners and officials muddle this curiosity, an army of teeth is being assembled. Hundreds wait, in secluded glens and hollows around Clarke County. A contract has been broken. Retribution will be terrible, for the litigant has no pity, no remorse and no limits to the savagery she'll unleash. She is nine-hundred years old and didn't reach that age by failing to make good on her promises. A fifteen-year old boy and one police officer find themselves pitted against a demonic force capable of destroying the whole town. The boy, Terry Shannon, knows his single mother and hundreds of their neighbors are marked for death. The cop, Ryan Tully, isn't inclined to believe in demons or witches. They must learn to trust one another as they race to stop a terror bent on bringing Hell to Clarke County.
