Divine and Moral Songs for the Use of Children is a collection of hymns and poems written by Isaac Watts, a prominent theologian and hymn writer of the 18th century. The book is specifically designed for children and aims to teach them important moral and religious values through simple and easy-to-understand language. The songs cover a wide range of topics including gratitude, obedience, love, and forgiveness, and are written in a lyrical and engaging manner that is sure to capture the attention of young readers. The book has been widely used in schools and churches for generations and remains a popular choice for parents and educators looking to instill important values in children. Overall, Divine and Moral Songs for the Use of Children is a timeless classic that continues to inspire and educate children around the world.1850. These divine songs may be a pleasant and proper matter for children's daily or weekly worship, to sing one in the family at such time as the parents or governors shall appoint; and therefore the verse is confined to the most usual psalm tunes. The reader will find nothing here that savors of a party: the children of high and low degree, of the Church of England or dissenters, baptized in infancy or not, may all join together in these songs. The language is presented to the level of a child's understanding and it is hoped these composures may be of more universal use and service. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
