This study was conducted to assess the state of biodiversity among coprophagous Scarabaeidae; the primary objective of this work is to compile an inventory of coprophagous beetles in the study region (Chott Djendli and Malal). Sampling was carried out using CSR-type traps. A total of 6,491 individuals belonging to the order Coleoptera were collected, representing the three guilds (residents, burrowers, and rollers), with burrowers constituting the majority. The taxonomically studied species revealed 2 families (Scarabeidea, Aphodiidea), 3 subfamilies (Scarabainae, Coprinae, Aphodiinae), and 8 genera. Analysis of the results through the calculation of ecological indices showed that our coprophagous biodiversity is moderately diverse, with an H' of 2.67 bits.
