It's been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember to help people answer the question What on earth am I here for? It is a frustrating place to be, not knowing who you are and what your purpose is while here on this earth. When you know what your gifts, several things begin to happen in your life. Knowing your spiritual gifts will allow you to clearly understand what God wants for your life. It is imperative to know that He has entrusted us with these gifts, therefore there has to be a reason, right? Why would God even bother with giving us these gifts? You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot. Matthew 5:13
Knowing our gifts help us to be the salt and light of the earth.
Utilizing our gifts is us being the salt and light to others. When we are not operating effectively in our spiritual gifts then we are like the later part of this scripture and not living with real purpose. When we operate in the gift that God has given to us freely, then we will be able to know how the Holy Spirit is operating in us. Encouraging yourself daily is a good practice to put in place, but it is necessary to effectively encourage those around us as well. Only then can we utilize the gifts God has entrusted to us. Chris Scott is a Master Life Coach; she has trained and certified over 450 life coaches globally. She is a Licensed and Ordained Minister at Tabernacle of Praise Church International, where she is Missions Director, training and leading missionaries to serve in the Nations. She is also a member of the leadership team of Living Sacrifice Prophetic Ministries in Trinidad and Tobago. She is a Missionary to Haiti, Belize, Jamaica, South Africa, Trinidad and Tobago and the Dominican Republic.
Chris is a three-time Author! Her first book, Discovering Your Spiritual Gifts: Connecting the Dots to Your Purpose that has blessed people globally. Her second book Treasures in My Heart is an anthology compiled of the stories by 12 amazing co-authors that made the Amazon Best Seller list and #1 New Release list. Her third book is titled Good Morning My Sister a daily devotional for women.
In 2015 Chris received the honor of being presented with The President's Volunteer Service Award (PVSA), by President Barack Obamaa, which is a national recognition for her work in the community. She is a graduate of Jacksonville Theological Seminary, where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theology and a Masters in Christian Psychology.
In April 2020, Chris formed Coaching Forward International to help those coping with quarantine and COVID-19. The helpline was created to accept the call and coach the hurting to recovery through encouragement.
