This book, Digital Security Act to Cyber Security Act: An Analysis with Special Reference to Its Impact on Mass Media, explores the legal and political transition from the Digital Security Act (DSA) of 2018 to the Cyber Security Act (CSA) of 2023 in Bangladesh. It critically examines whether the newly enacted law represents genuine reform or simply repackages previously criticized provisions under a new title.Through an in-depth research process, the study focuses on the implications of both acts on press freedom and freedom of expression. Despite government assurances that the CSA addresses the concerns raised against the DSA, this research finds that many of the restrictive elements remain.
