In the beginning, there was nothing. Then God spoke, and there was everything.
This is Genesis Book One in a multi-book series - covering Genesis chapters 1 through 4 only, the Creation through Cain and Abel.
The Diary of a Bible Story series tells the entire book of Genesis across several volumes, so each book stays a manageable length for young readers instead of asking a child to take on all fifty chapters at once.
This volume tells the story of Creation, the Garden, the Fall, and the first family - exactly as Scripture wrote it, using the full, unedited King James Version text for these four chapters. No paraphrasing. No softened version of a story that was never meant to be soft.
Illustrated in the same simple, expressive lined style readers already love from Jonah and The Big Fish, with character designs that stay consistent throughout.
Covering Genesis chapters 1 through 4, this volume takes young readers through the seven days of Creation, the first man and woman, the serpent in the garden, and the first brokenness between brothers - told honestly, the way the Bible actually tells it.
More volumes in the Genesis series follow, continuing the story chapter by chapter, book by book.
Written and illustrated by V.S. Beals - author of more than twenty published titles spanning children's literature, faith and Biblical living, and family resources.
