The Devout Hitman's Corrupted Omega: A MM Dark Mafia Omegaverse Romance

He prays over every man he kills. Tonight, the family sent him to kill me.

I'm Vesper - the prettiest thing for sale at the Reliquary, the club where Philadelphia's worst men come to be sinned at instead of prayed at. I've survived seven years on a simple rule: there's no danger a body can't buy you one more hour out of. Then Carmine Greco walked in - still as a closed knife, a rosary inked into the hand that's ended seventeen men - and I knew before he crossed the room that the family had finally sent someone to silence me for what Bruno Carfagna whispered in the dark.

So I went to my knees and did the only thing that's ever kept me breathing.

He gave me a word instead. One word that stops everything, that costs me nothing, that no man has ever once handed me in my life. The family's most devout enforcer was sent to put me in the river - and he couldn't do it, because his blood recognized mine across a room full of incense and sin, and now the saint who kneels only to God is kneeling for me.

But Carmine ignored a direct order from the boss to keep me, and this family does not forgive a soldier who bends. There's a Bratva war coming for what Bruno left in my hands. There's a debt-contract that says I belong to someone else. And there's a consequence growing under my heart that turns me from a thing they can dispose of into a thing they'll never let go.

I came up wanting nothing but a way out. He found the one part of me that was never for sale and refused to take anything else. God help us both - because in the world of Saint Lazarus, the only thing more dangerous than a man who'll kill for you is a man who'll be damned for you.
