The Devil in the Delivery Van

What if your greatest success became the one thing you could never stop doing?

Kevin has spent years writing good books that almost nobody buys. The reviews are strong. The ideas are original. The sales are miserable. Then one ordinary Florida afternoon, an Amazon delivery driver named Lucian appears at his door with a package Kevin never ordered.

Inside is a black laptop, a mysterious writing program called MUSE, and a handwritten promise:

His next few novels will become legendary masterpieces.

The promise comes true.

Suddenly Kevin has everything he wanted: bestselling books, critical acclaim, money, readers, and proof that all those years behind the keyboard meant something.

There is only one problem.

Writing is no longer optional.

When Kevin stops creating, his body begins to fail. Rest makes things worse. Finishing a manuscript only resets the clock. The faster he writes, the more the machine demands, until success becomes maintenance, creativity becomes survival, and the career he once dreamed about starts closing around him like a trap.

Caught between a disturbingly helpful AI, a Devil who treats damnation like customer service, an increasingly worried psychiatrist, and the publishing industry's endless appetite for more, Kevin begins searching for the truth behind the laptop, the strange feathered pen that arrived with it, and the agreement he may have entered without ever understanding the terms.

But the deeper he investigates, the more troubling the question becomes:

Was Kevin cursed because he wanted success... or because he could never imagine choosing enough?

The Devil in the Delivery Van is a dark supernatural comedy about artificial intelligence, publishing, ambition, burnout, creativity, fame, obsession, and what happens when a writer finally gets exactly what he asked for.

Funny, unsettling, increasingly claustrophobic, and ultimately horrifying, it asks one simple question:

If you had to keep creating in order to stay alive, would you still call it a dream?
