The Deepwood Sanctuary

She inherited a house, a crumbling garden, and a sanctuary full of magical creatures she has absolutely no idea how to care for.

When burned-out senior editor Lindsay Ashwood inherits her aunt's stone house on a tidal estuary in coastal Britain, she expects quiet. She does not expect the brownie who reorganises her kitchen by rules only he understands, or the kelpie patrolling the silver tidal flats - beautiful, dangerous, and watching to see if she's worthy. Or the dryad at the edge of the ancient Deepwood, who has lost her tree and needs something Lindsay can't yet name - but is slowly, patiently learning to offer.

The Deepwood itself is older than the maps, larger on the inside than geography should allow, and has already decided it likes her. Lindsay isn't sure what to do with that.

The village of Stillmere is small, warm, and quietly watching to see if she'll stay. A painter named Robin keeps appearing with paint-stained hands, documenting creatures nobody else can quite see.
