Davos Platz: And The Effects Of High Altitude On Phthisis is a book written by Alfred Thomas Tucker Wise and published in 1881. The book explores the effects of high altitude on the disease phthisis, which is now known as tuberculosis. Wise focuses specifically on Davos Platz, a mountain resort in Switzerland that became famous for its success in treating tuberculosis patients. The book provides a thorough description of the town and its climate, as well as the medical treatments used to treat patients. Wise also includes case studies of patients who were successfully treated in Davos Platz. The book is a valuable resource for anyone interested in the history of tuberculosis treatment or the effects of high altitude on human health. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
